Piotr Załęski – Assistant Professor and head of the Laboratory of Political Culture at the Institute of Political Science, University of Warsaw. He has conducted studies and field research in post-Soviet Central Asia since 2002. In Kyrgyzstan, he has worked with the Institute of Philosophy and Political-Legal Research at the National Academu od Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (ad leading researcher); the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev (as secretary od the International Eurasian Research Centre); the Bishkek Humanities University named after K. Karasaev (as deputy editor of the PolishKyrgyz quarterly „Society and Politics”).
